Located near the intersection of Morse Boulevard
and Park Avenue, just over a mile east of Chateaux du Lac, the Winter Park
train station sits next to Winter Park's Central Park and the fabled Park
Avenue shopping and dining district. This station is also a connection for
Amtrak.
SunRail is a rail service moving people throughout
the Central Florida area by providing work and leisure travel opportunities. The
system currently operates over 50 miles with 16 stations through Volusia,
Seminole, Orange, and Osceola counties.

The Chateaux du Lac Condominiums Association
consists of ninety-two single and two-bedroom units located in a lushly
landscaped area along the shores of Lake Killarney in Winter Park, Florida.
Our Chateaux is located one block away from the Winter Park Village, an outdoor shopping center with retail, restaurant, service, and grocery stores where one can, as they say, "Shop, Stroll, Indulge & Enjoy!"
Visitors walking along the shopping center's palm and oak
tree shaded walkways can enjoy shopping at Francesca's, Guitar Center, Hand
& Stone Massage and Facial Spa, J. Jill, Jos. A Bank, Lauren Nicole, LOFT, Ulta, AT&T, Chase Bank, Adjectives Market, White House | Black Market, and
more.
Dining options include Another Broken Egg, Bar
Louie, P F Chang's China Bistro, Pizzeria Valdiano, Ruth's Chris Steak
House, Sakari Sushi, Starbucks, The Cheesecake Factory, and The Hangry
Bison. For a dining at home option a Publix Grocery store is located within
the Village. The Winter Park Village also is home to a multi-screen Regal
Cinema movie theater.
Two blocks south on Orlando Avenue (US 17/92) one will find The Lakeside Plaza
that contains Trader Joes,
Shake Shack, and other popular retail locations, including an emergency
medical center
and a paddleboard and kayak renting business providing a fun way to enjoy
our two hundred-and- thirty-five-acre Lake Killarney.
Across Gay Road from Chateaux is The Winter Park
Center. This shopping center provides a pedestrian friendly shopping
environment. Park your car and
stroll around the wide sidewalks. You will find events, sales, stores,
restaurants, car rental outlets, tax preparation offices, beauty, and
health centers, and more.
The Winter Park Center retail stores include Home Goods, Marshalls, DSW,
Below Five, Ross, Petco, Michaels, along with AVIS Car Rental, H&R Block,
UPS, Great Clips, Office Depot, and L. A. Fitness, and an additional line
up of other popular retail and service outlets.
Food choices include, El Potro Mexican Restaurant, Thai Place Restaurant, Zoe's Kitchen, Blaze
Pizza, Bento Asian Kitchen and Sushi, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe, among
other outlets. Fleming's Restaurant is located next to the Hertz Car Rental
and WAWA gas station on the same corner lot of Lee Road and Orlando Ave (US
17/92).
Just over a mile east of us one will find the
world-renowned downtown Winter Park, Florida, with its highly regarded line
up of retail shops and restaurants. Downtown's Park Avenue is bordered on
the south end by nationally recognized Rollins College, and on the north end by
the respected Winter Park Golf Country Club.
Nevertheless, with all the hustle and bustle
nearby, Chateaux residents find the commotion of city life doesn't invade
our Chateaux du Lac tranquil lifestyle. Chateaux amenities include an
oversized heated swimming pool, community BBQ Grill, saunas, on-site
laundry facilities overlooking Lake Killarney, a boat ramp and dock for
residents with watercraft to use, great neighbors and assigned parking for
residents with extra parking for your visitors.
